Every April 21, we are always reminded of the figure of Raden Ajeng Kartini, an emancipation fighter who believed that education was the main key to "darkness" becoming "light". If in the past Kartini fought through her letters so that women could read and write, then in the current era, that struggle has transformed into something very crucial: literasi digital.
Becoming a modern Kartini is no longer just about wearing a kebaya once a year, but rather how women are able to take strategic roles amidst the rapid flow of technology. Digital literacy is not just about being able to use social media or shopping applications, but about the ability to process information, create work, and empower others through cyberspace.
The most effective empowerment of women always starts at the education table. In a fast-paced digital world, the challenges women face are increasingly complex, ranging from data security risks to the rise of disinformation. Therefore, understanding the basics of digital security and how to filter content is the first step for women to become subjects, not just objects of technology.

One of the ways modern Kartini shows her existence is through creating quality digital content. With the ability to tell stories (storytelling) is good, women can voice important issues, ranging from health, family financial management, to economic independence. Digital literacy allows women's voices to be heard more widely, breaking through geographical boundaries that used to be a barrier.

Digitally literate women are those who are able to use technological tools to solve problems. For example, a housewife who is able to manage a business online with a sharp SEO strategy, or a student who actively documents her research activities to motivate fellow academics.
Cultivating tolerance and empathy in digital spaces is also a form of modern emancipation. With strong character, women can be pioneers in creating a healthier and more inclusive digital environment. Kartini's enthusiasm for progress will never fade as long as women continue to open themselves to new knowledge.
