Benefits of the Internet of Things, Education Becomes More Accessible<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The technical idea known as the \u201cinternet of things\u201d (IoT) allows communication between mobile phones over a network of internet connections. Kevin Ashton, founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Auto-ID Center, first coined the phrase in 1999. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, the internet has been widely used before this term emerged, especially in the trade, military, and information sharing sectors. However, the advancement of internet technology does not stop there. Currently, the internet is used in various industries, including education. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A nation, including Indonesia, can advance and develop because of education, therefore education is very important. Indonesia faces difficulties in adapting quickly to these changes along with the rapid advancement of technology and the phenomenon of globalization. Technology has been embedded in everyday life and has great potential to improve educational standards and enhance the educational experience. By integrating IoT technology, campuses and schools can improve the efficiency of resource management, simplify the learning process, and create new opportunities for the creation of cutting-edge curriculum and teaching strategies. <\/span><\/p>\n

IoT can be used not only for learning but also to manage teaching support services on campus and in schools. Examples of these services include alumni data management, use of biometrics for attendance, and borrowing books and school supplies. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

  1. The creation of more inclusive <\/span>education The development of more inclusive education is the first advantage. Students can now attend classes, send assignments and homework via email, and even ask teachers and lecturers just by having a smartphone and an internet connection. <\/li>\n
  2. Driving innovation<\/span> Real-time data collection enabled by IoT yields more precise data about individual students and their overall performance. Making smarter choices can improve learning effectiveness. In the long run, the benefits of IoT in education help students develop the skills needed to succeed in today\u2019s globalization trends and help them adapt to technological advancements in today\u2019s digital age. <\/li>\n
  3. Better library <\/span>management In addition, smart libraries can be built with the help of the internet of things. Students and college students can visit school and college libraries even after office hours thanks to the establishment of smart libraries. When no staff members are present, students can use the smart library computers and independently check out and return books. <\/li>\n
  4. Better experiences <\/span>By leveraging IoT technology, learning experiences can become more interactive and personalized, by facilitating access to better educational resources, optimizing the learning environment, or using wearable technology to monitor and manage students\u2019 learning activities.<\/li>\n
  5. Creating safer schools and campuses <\/span>The Internet of Things can also be used to make campuses and schools safer. In this case, the officer concerned can access all resources\u2014including lights and CCTV through an application. As a result, officers are able to respond quickly to emergencies such as fires or unknown persons entering the campus or school. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Knowing that education is important no matter what the conditions, it would be better if institutions and the environment participated in encouraging Indonesian education to excel. With the help of technology, the independent learning process can be carried out by the entire community. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
