  2. Connecting the network<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Routers connect multiple networks to one or more devices so that users can share data packets across different devices. Routers assign IP addresses to each device on a particular network to perform this function. <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Reading IP address<\/span>
    \n<\/span>The source and destination IP addresses can be read by the router. It is then possible to find a route from one network node to another by reading these addresses. <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Filtering data packets<\/span>
